Our Staff

Erin Cunniff Childs

Erin was hired as the Executive Director of Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio when it was founded in 2014. She is responsible for advancing the mission of PBPO and leading the staff and legal programs. Erin sets strategy, recruits volunteer attorneys, promotes client outreach and education, and lectures about nonprofit and tax-exempt organization law.

Prior to joining PBPO, Erin was an attorney with Thompson Hine in Cincinnati. While in private practice, Erin’s pro bono work included volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for ProKids. Additionally, Erin is active in the Cincinnati Bar, having serving on the Board of Directors of the Cincinnati Bar Association and the Board of Trustees of the Cincinnati Bar Foundation and as former chair of the Young Lawyer’s Section. Erin is currently on the executive committee of the Nonprofit Law Committee. Erin graduated from Saint Louis University and received her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Erin believes she has the best job in the world because she gets to work with not only nonprofit professionals who dedicate their lives to their missions, but also extraordinary attorneys volunteering their limited time to be part of the positive change happening in our community.
