CLE: Practical and Ethical Considerations for Attorneys Serving on Nonprofit Boards

Professionalism CLE: Free for PBPO Volunteers!

Grow PBPO invites you to join us for our Annual Professionalism CLE.

Nonprofit organizations welcome lawyers to join their boards because of their specialized skill, knowledge, and experience. It is critical, however, for any lawyer serving on a nonprofit board to understand the potential risks and duties of being both an attorney and a board member.  This program will cover the many ethical issues facing attorneys who serve on boards of directors for nonprofit organizations, including conflicts of interest, competence, and fiduciary duties. The program will also cover important governance issues particular to nonprofit organizations. Finally, a panel of experienced lawyers will discuss ethical and practical considerations for lawyers serving, or thinking about serving, on a nonprofit board.
