Nonprofit Highlight: Agape for Youth, Inc.

Based in Dayton, Agape for Youth, Inc. supports children in foster care, families in need of stabilization, and young adults transitioning out of foster care. Agape began partnering with PBPO during a pivotal leadership transition. When Agape needed to audit and update its founding documents — including its bylaws, code of regulations, and state filings — PBPO stepped in. PBPO attorney volunteers provided guidance that helped strengthen Agape’s governance and clarify its strategic objectives and organizational vision.

Thanks to PBPO, Agape is now better equipped to recruit and support foster families, grow its Bridges to Transition program for young adults transitioning out of foster care, and improve organizational processes. This partnership has empowered Agape’s team to focus on what matters most: helping children, youth, and families thrive across Southwest Ohio.

For more than 36 years, Agape has been providing youth and families with supportive, nurturing services that encourage each other to reach their full potential. They support children in foster care, families in need of stabilization, and young adults ages 18–21 transitioning out of foster care through their Bridges to Transition program. At Agape, they believe care doesn’t end at 18—ongoing support is critical as young adults move toward independence.
