Volunteer Spotlight: Bridget McGraw, Chief Counsel, Corporate Affairs and Operations at GE Aerospace

Bridget McGraw, Chief Counsel, Corporate Affairs and Operations at GE Aerospace, was named PBPO’s 2023 Corporate Attorney of the Year for her steadfast commitment to PBPO. Since 2016, she has volunteered for legal projects on behalf of more than 15 PBPO nonprofit clients, served as an attorney volunteer for five legal checkups, and has even written a Pro Bono Brief: Nonprofit Legal News for distribution to nonprofits.  Bridget’s generous volunteer commitment has helped strengthen nonprofits like Dress for Success, RefugeeConnect, and Santa Maria Community Services, and the value of her volunteer time is almost $50,000!

Bridget has been with GE for 18, initially working in GE Aviation’s Commercial Operations, and has had roles in GE Additive, Avio Aero (located in Turin, Italy), and most recently in GE Aerospace’s Separation Management Office. Prior to GE, Bridget was a litigation associate at Frost Brown Todd. She attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law and received her B.A. from Miami University.

Why does Bridget volunteer for PBPO?

“I have been a volunteer with PBPO since the organization’s founding in Cincinnati, under the leadership of my then-colleague Breck Weigel. Being passionate about volunteering, I had been searching for a way do pro bono work that was aligned with my in-house experience. PBPO gave me just that opportunity. I continue to volunteer because I love learning about the amazing organizations that serve Greater Cincinnati. From Keep Going 25, Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, to Gorman Farms, I have been privileged to do a small part to allow these incredible organizations impact our community in so many meaningful ways.”

In addition to volunteering for PBPO, Bridget serves on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army, Feed the Soul, and is a volunteer coach for the Keep Going 25 Foundation.

Bridget and her husband Brian have three children, ages 16, 14, and 8. She is very involved with her kids’ schools, serving on the All Saints Boosters, Moeller Mom’s Club Board and Ursuline Mom’s Club Board. On the weekends, you can find her attending sporting events for her children, cheering on the Bengals, running, and reading. Bridget also loves to travel – in fact, she and her family lived in Italy for 2 years!

During this season of giving thanks, we are grateful for attorney volunteers like Bridget who have made such a wide and positive impact on our community through their pro bono service. She has been a tremendous resource for PBPO and our community!
