Volunteer Spotlight: Megan Glowacki, Thompson Hine

When we opened our doors in 2015, Megan was one of our first volunteers and her involvement has not slowed since then. Even as the Cincinnati Partner in Charge and employment attorney at Thompson Hine, she still prioritizes time in her busy schedule to volunteer for PBPO. In addition to volunteering with over 15 of our nonprofit clients, she also leads PBPO’s Quarterly Employment Law Series in collaboration with Thompson Hine, has presented at PBPO educational programs, and is a founding leader and former member of Grow PBPO. Megan was  awarded the 2022 Law Firm Attorney of the Year at our annual Volunteer & Donor Appreciation Reception for her outstanding contributions.

Why does Megan volunteer with PBPO?

I love learning about each of PBPO’s clients and the many amazing things that they contribute to our region. When we can help them with their legal needs, it feels like an extension of helping with their mission.”

Megan began her career by attending the University of Dayton, followed by law school at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She initially worked at a small law firm before joining Thompson Hine in 2012. She was named Partner in Charge of the Cincinnati office in 2022.

Not only is Megan involved with Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio, she also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross Central and Southern Ohio Region, and previously served on the Board of the Hyde Park Center for Older Adults.

As a busy working parent, most of Megan’s free time is spent chauffeuring her two kids (ages 7 and 10) to their activities, wrangling her two dogs, and trying to keep their lives a bit orderly.

We are grateful that Megan chooses to contribute her expertise to support PBPO – thank you Megan!
