Volunteer Spotlight: Giles Roblyer
Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio (PBPO) is proud to spotlight Giles Roblyer, Director and Assistant General Counsel, Global Privacy/Cybersecurity at Procter & Gamble (P&G). Giles began volunteering with PBPO in 2016, and in 2019, he was named our Corporate Attorney of the Year. We are so grateful that he continues to choose to share his expertise, creativity, energy, and deep commitment to service with the PBPO community.
A Maryland native, Giles has been with P&G for 15 years, holding various legal roles covering advertising and marketing, FDA compliance, securities, corporate governance, executive compensation, employee benefits, and Treasury. He presently works in the company’s Global Privacy, Cybersecurity, and IT Law group. Giles has a degree in English from Kenyon College and a MFA in Fiction Writing from NYU. He worked as a writer and editor for 10 years before earning his JD from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
Why does Giles volunteer with PBPO?
“Volunteering at PBPO is the most impactful way to use corporate legal skills to make a difference in our community. In addition, PBPO is a community of kind, dedicated lawyers and a place to belong. It’s an important part of many aspects of my life.”
Among Giles’s many and diverse talents are video production and editing. Giles has created multiple videos for PBPO over the years, including the videos shared at our Volunteer Appreciation events, on our website, and at our Cheers to 10 Years event. Giles has also shared his legal expertise with PBPO clients, volunteering on 15+ projects. Outside of his service with PBPO, Giles’s volunteerism extends to leadership of a program at P&G that provides legal advice to minority entrepreneurs participating in programming through MORTAR.
In his spare time, Giles enjoys playing guitar, running, hiking, filming and editing movies, and playing video games. He’s a proud dad of a freshman in high school and a freshman in college, and also dog dad to a furball named Harry Potter.
Giles is an important part of the life of PBPO. We are thankful to be celebrating nine years of volunteer partnership with him!
